Kiwi Conservation Club competition

We’re working with Forest & Bird and the Kiwi Conservation Club (KCC) this summer, to help raise awareness of the important role of native trees in climate change. Perhaps your group could win up to 500 native trees to plant in your community or at your school next winter?

What do you need to do?

  • Think up a native tree planting project for winter 2018

  • Tell us where you’ll plant your trees, how many you can plant and who will be involved in the planting

  • Complete the below form with your project details by 28 February 2018

What do you need to consider before you complete this project form?

  • Ensure you already have permission to plant trees on the land you detail in your entry form

  • Do you have any site preparation to do, if you win the native trees for this project?

  • Check with the people involved in the planting, that they are happy to help

  • The more trees you can plant (50+), the more favourably we’ll consider your project. Larger scale planting helps protect tree growth, and the trees work together to absorb and store more CO2 as a group, helping us combat climate change even sooner.

  • What can you tell us about the future proofing of your project? How can your project protect against the dangers of pests and extreme weather events?

What could you win?

We’ll work with KCC to review all competition entries and select one lucky group to be supplied with up to 500 native trees for their project, in time for winter planting

Already have planting plans for 2018?

Help us grow the count! Register your trees with us as by counting the trees we all plant, we can measure our collective impact on climate change.
