Suze was appointed to the Project Crimson Trust in 2019.
Suse is currently Executive Director for Angel Association NZ (AANZ) – the industry representative body for early stage investment – and has been on the Council since it started in 2008. She was also co-founder of AngelHQ in 2005 and still remains on the board. Today AngelHQ has over 80 members and has invested over $28 m across 93 high-growth start-up companies.
Prior to her roles in angel investment, Suse was Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Investment at Grow Wellington. She also thrived in a 10-year career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which included a posting in London representing New Zealand’s trade and economic interests.
Suse is thrilled to be able to support Project Crimson’s ambition to create a powerful platform that has an exponential impact on New Zealand’s biodiversity and environment.
Her passion for New Zealand’s native trees runs deep, and began with time spent hiking some of New Zealand’s iconic tracks in her childhood.
“When I was child, my family spent time tramping the Heaphy, the Milford and many other New Zealand walks so the NZ bush and its wonderful trees have a special place in my heart,” said Suse.
“I am very keen for others to be able to experience this in the future. I am also very conscious of just how unique and precious New Zealand’s ‘flora’ is and we need to treasure and look after it.”
